Post a trick, tip, hack, cheat, or con that would help get through life's daily activities. These post will help people through out their day to "cheat" their way to victory and have an easier life! I'll go first to give you 2 examples:

1. When you have forgotten someones name, simple say: "I'm sorry, but what was your name one more time." They may act offended, but when they give you there first name you simple reply "No, I meant your last name." (more socially acceptable to forget). Bingo. First and last names.
   
   
2. Buy a video game, go home and play it. Beat the game. Then put everything neatly back in the package and go back to the place of purchase. (Walmarts work best for this) Tell them the disc was scratched and it was unable to run on your system and that you want another copy. They'll swap it out for another copy of the same game.
   
   Take this new unopened copy to the other Walmart and tell them it was a gift and you'd like to return it. You'll get full price back for the game you just beat!

umm walmart has wised up to the trading back games dvds cds if they r open u say they dont work right u go get new one well guess what they ring it up and before putting it in a bag for u they cut the new one open so u cant get a refund on it and some items alot of store will not take back without a reciept anymore ok

That game was god-awful... but i went to TARGET instead of walmart , still worked though lol

if your item is open most companies, have this no refund exchange only policy. Now if its computer software and even if it dont work, YOU ARE SCREWED. Walmart will not do anything with it. They say call the manufactor they take care of it.

This isn't really for "cheating" as much as it is for survival.

How Much Daylight Left?

Extend your arm all the way out straight in front of you, then bend your fingers in at 90 degrees. You should be looking at your four primary fingers (index through pinkie) stacked one on top of the other, fingerprints facing you.

If your arm is fully extended, and you line up your hand so that the bottom of your pinkie finger is "resting" on the horizon, then each finger width represents 15 minutes of daylight left. Using this you can "measure" up to where the sun currently is, and know how much daylight is left.

1 finger = 15 mins, 4 fingers (one hand) = 1 hour. Both hands = 2 hours.

It typically takes a person 2 hours to set up a camp (collect wood, start a fire, build a lean-to). So if you ever find yourself out in the wilderness and time's running out. measure up to the sun, if you have "two hands" of time left, start preparing for the night.

(yes, I'm fully prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse).

Tip: For a headache

If you don't happen to have any aspirin on hand for a headache or would like to go for a more holistic approach, you can gently press the pressure point at the web of your thumb (the space between your thumb and index finger) repeatedly, and this should alleviate your headache somewhat, if not, fully.

Tip: Leave a VoiceMail on a cellphone without the phone ringing.

Call 267-SLY-DIAL then enter the recipient's phone number. You can then leave a message for them. The message will go to their VM box and their phone will never ring. This only works for cell phones.
